On 30th September, a loud roar erupted on the playground of Anqing Foreign Language School’s Primary Department. Everyone was choked up with emotions because of athletes’ combatant spirit and the acclamation from the cheering squad.
In the first place, as for the track& field events, competitors rushed to the finishing line like an arrow regardless of the sweat from the forehead and heavy gasp. Instead, they only bore the first place in mind and marched forward courageously. Specifically in the girls’ & boys’ 400 meters, which tested players’ physical power& perseverance,although different from the exciting sprint, both matches attracted students’ attention and won their cheers, which contained encouragement& support, conveyed combatant& striving spirit, embodied the sense of group honor as well as sparkled unyielding spirits. During the competition, our little contestants were not only faced with contest in physical strength, but also with the test to their mentality& willpower. Thus, what they obtained was far more plentiful than their sporting performance.
In the second place, at the high jump field, candidates leaped across the one-meter pole. Afterwards, they smiled with a triumphant air and met the next higher challenge like lightsome swallows.
In the third place, at the 4 by 100 meters relay race, the sports meet went to the climax. Considering that athletes were singled out elaborately, they made a dash ahead with the starter’s gunshot. Their clenched fists and red faces indicated that they were determined to win honor for their classes.
In conclusion, this year’s sports meet built up students’ stamina, activated their life and displayed students’ characters. More noticeably, students gained quality. I exercise and I am delightful. On the one hand, athletics create miracles. On the other hand, miracles describe glories. Therefore, our students’ childhoods were more marvelous with dreams.
